Occupations
I was a social worker for the elderly for a number of years before I joined the Ambulance Service in the late eighties. As my back problems began to appear I decided I had better think of work with less strain physically. I trained as a lecturer in care and was able to do this until I became unreliable due to health in the late nineties. I am now "retired" as far as work is concerned but in my mind I am still only 18 and not 52!

About Me.
I am divorced and have two grown up daughters. One is aged 21 and one aged 23. I have elderly parents living close by me and have my dog, Koko, who is in my Avitar.
I love papercrafts and since I found a flair for it I have given up smoking! Can't afford both anyway! However although I am wheelchair bound (I suffer from joint inflamation which, basically, squashes the nerves) I can still drive and can go wherever I wish when I'm on a good day. I have a great life and enjoy new experiences and learning anything new. I am very lucky as my family is "extended" from being in the Ambulance Service, there is always someone to help if I shout!
My local craft shop is brilliant and family run. They have become good friends over the last couple of years. I go to the shop on a morning and end up leaving when they shut after numerous laughs and cups of coffee! They call me the "duck murderer" as I ran over their door stop on my very first visit!
